Program Analyst at PRO Youth & Families
Having been in the monitoring and evaluation side of the nonprofit world for over two years now, I am continuously finding opportunities to further strengthen my skills and broaden opportunities in approaching tasks efficiently, analytically, and creatively. Currently, I monitor back-end data collection processes for my organization's federal grants. This data is subsequently analyzed and presented through visually digestible impact reports that I generate.➜ Experienced in: federal grant reporting, project and program monitoring and evaluation, Institutional Review Board processes, graphic design➜ Seeking opportunities in: project management, data and grant management, communications/development

Social science researcher turned monitoring and evaluation nonprofit professional. Through these experiences, the commonality has been my drive and passion to creatively think outside the box in developing impact reports, social media graphics, and presentations. Below are summaries of my work.
I currently generate impact reports for internal continuous quality improvement purposes, as well as for grant reporting.➜ Internal Continuous Quality Improvement Impact Reports
Done on a monthly and quarterly basis, these reports summarize each program's participant, cohort, and site reach; and quantitative and qualitative outcome data from program exit surveys. These reports are utilized by various team officers and directors to understand the impact made on local youth.
 ➜ Grant/External Impact Reports
Text-heavy narrative reports are transformed into visually engaging reports consisting of photos, quotes, and data graphs dispersed throughout, making them more digestible for grant officers and external partners. I have created these reports for an array of purposes, such as for federal, state, county, and city grant reporting.
As part of grant requirements from the county of Sacramento, California, I create informative and visual graphics for our social media platforms. Graphics highlight prevention topics and observances catered for the youth we serve, such as the following:➜ National Recovery Month: definition of stigma and why stigmatizing people experiencing substance use disorders is harmful
➜ Mental Health Awareness Month: gathered youth and staff stories around their mental health journeys
➜ National Adolescent Health Month: trivia series on the effects of sleep, nutrition, and physical activity on overall wellbeing
At local, national, and international research conferences, I presented my findings from three independent research projects that I conducted as an undergraduate researcher at University of the Pacific, Stockton, Califiornia.➜ COVID-19 Stress and Student Self-Efficacy
Senior honors project wherein I collected and analyzed data around college students' learning beliefs and physiological states locally and nationally, within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic
 ➜ Emotions in Film Media
On behalf of the University of the Pacific Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, I coded emotions of racially and ethnically diverse characters in animated film media. Film clips were displayed to college participants via Zoom sessions, wherein I coded the emotions they elicited.
➜ Taishanese Diaspora in Historical Perspective
As part of my Chinese studies minor project, I located, reviewed, and analyzed journal articles and books for a research paper on the history of Taishan, China, and its diaspora.
